UK Centre for Carnival Arts |
A retained client of Courtney Consulting Emma has, among other deliverables, produced the brand, marketing and audience development strategy and led on the final fundraising and development stages for the inspirational UK Centre for Carnival Arts.
This work involved extensive stakeholder and community consultation with some difficult audiences and challenges, most notably, a sceptical sector with huge internal politics that needs to see it to believe it, together with a wide range of strategic funders that need to be absolutely certain that their key messages will be delivered and objectives met. All this against the context of one of most deprived and diverse towns in the UK.
Amongst other things Emma led the development of a new website for the centre and sector, secured positive media coverage across print, broadcast and online, gained positive stakeholder buy in including politicians and Olympic connections, produced and presented board reports and external advocacy events, led the team in the winning of the East of England Regional Final of Enterprising Britain, contributed to organisational development and recruitment and implemented an internal communications audit. She has also acted as a vital sounding board and critical friend for the Executive Director in the absence of a senior management team.
