The National Trust property, Mottisfont Abbey, lies in the Test Valley, between Stockbridge and Romsey. The property houses the National Collection of old fashioned roses, which is both nationally and internationally famous and a multi-million pound 20th century art collection not to mention over 800 years of rural social history.
Emma delivered an audience development plan for Mottisfont towards a successful development bid. Comprehensive stakeholder and community consultation, with a strong focus on developing strategic partnerships to maximise limited resources, was undertaken to deliver ambitious organisational aims. Emma has strongly advocated the use of arts programmes on site to attract and develop audiences and her insight across heritage, arts and public sector partnerships provided a valuable addition to the brief. As part of the work Emma also advocated a brand repositioning strategy to enable Mottisfont to retain its magic whilst still demonstrating relevance to today’s audiences.
